A flexible electrochromic active matrix addressed display, including 8 × 8 pixels, is demonstrated by using solution processing based on standard printing and coating manufacturing techniques. Each organic electrochromic display (OECD) pixel and its corresponding organic electrochemical transistor (OECT) are located on different sides of the flexible PET substrate. Electronic vias generated through the plastic substrate connects each OECD pixel with one addressing OECT. When comparing this display with actively addressed OECDs with all its components located on the same side, the present approach based on this electronic via substrate provides an enhanced pixel resolution and a relatively more simplified manufacturing process. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Propericiazine (PCZ) is an antipsychotic agent used for the treatment and the prevention of relapse of schizophrenia. We found that when an oral solution containing PCZ was mixed with a green tea drink, the residual content of PCZ was reduced by forming an insoluble complex between PCZ and tea polyphenol. In this study, the mechanism underlying the incompatibility of PCZ with green tea polyphenol (GTP) in the solution was clarified by isothermal titration microcalorimetry (ITC). Both solutions of 27.4 mM PCZ and 2.2 mM (?)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), which is a main ingredient of GTP, were mixed and then PCZ in the filtrate was reduced to approximately 60 %. According to measurement at 298 K by ITC, PCZ formed an insoluble complex with EGCg at an associate constant (K) of 4.75 × 102 M?1 exothermically, ΔH = ?40.0 kJ mol?1. When (?)-epicatechin gallate (ECg) was used as the GTP, PCZ interacted with ECg with K and ΔH values of 3.74 × 102 M?1 and ?22.1 kJ mol?1, respectively. On the other hand, little heat of the reaction between PCZ and (?)-epigallocatechin or (?)-epicatechin was observed. The results indicated that the main reason for this incompatibility was the formation of an insoluble complex by PCZ and a gallate-type GTP such as EGCg and ECg in the aqueous solution. 相似文献

The magnetic properties of the spin-crossover compound, [Fe(qsal)2]NCSe·2DMSO (N-(8-quinolyl)-salicyladimine) (1), have been measured. We have discovered that the compound 1 exhibits a wide "thermal hysteresis loop" of 115 K (T1/2 = 324 K and T1/2 = 209 K) in the first cycle. Thermogravimetric analysis shows that solvent molecules of the compound 1 are removed at around 324 K. This means that the hysteresis loop observed for the first cycle is only an apparent one. Following the first loop, the compound 1 shows a spin-crossover in warming mode. The spin transition occurs at T1/2= 285 K and T1/2 = 209 K and the hysteresis width can be estimated to be 76 K, which is one of the largest values reported so far for spin-crossover compounds. It is thought that the cooperativity produced in the compound mainly arises from the intermolecular interactions between the quinoline and the phenyl rings. 相似文献

Optical conductivity data of the intermetallic compounds (Fe1-xVx)3Al ( 0=x=0.33) reveal that their density of states around the Fermi energy ( E(F)) is strongly reduced as x is increased. In particular, Fe2VAl ( x = 0.33) has a deep, well-developed pseudogap of 0.1-0.2 eV at E(F) and a small density ( approximately 5x10(20) cm(-3)) of carriers, which is highly unusual for intermetallic compounds. It is shown that the pseudogap results from the band structure of Fe2VAl, rather than from temperature-dependent correlation effects. Based on the present results, we propose a simple model that consistently explains both the semiconductorlike transport and the metallic photoemission results previously observed for Fe2VAl. 相似文献

We have constructed a polarized proton solid target system for
radioactive nuclear beam experiments at the Center for Nuclear Study,
the University of Tokyo. The proton polarization is based on an electron
population difference in a photo-excited triplet state of pentacene
molecule. The target system was completed in 2003 and applied to a
RI beam experiment in 2003 and 2005 by using the projectile fragment
separator, RIPS at RIKEN. The maximum polarization reached
20% under the condition of T=100 K and B=0.09 T.
Overview of the polarized target and its application in physics
